Former Bayern player contradicted Mourinho and Allegri

While Luca Toni advised Max Allegri to come to Man Utd, Lothar Matthaus wanted to bring him to Bayern Munich.

Along with Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger, Allegri is one of three bright candidates for an empty seat at Bayern. The Italian has the advantage of having won six Serie A in nine years and twice brought Juventus into the Champions League final.

Bayern currently have no head coach after firing Nico Kovac. The 1–5 loss to Frankfurt last weekend caused Bayern to fall to fourth in the Bundesliga after 10 rounds, like a drop of water.

Capello advised Allegri to choose Man Utd over Bayern

Veteran coach Fabio Capello thinks Massimiliano Allegri can match Bayern Munich but should wait patiently for the opportunity from Man Utd.

Bayern Munich on November 4 announced the dismissal of coach Niko Kovac, just one day after the 1-5 defeat at Frankfurt. Many sources in Germany claim that Allegri is the top target for the hot seat at the Allianz yard. In addition to former Juventus strategist, “Gray Lobster” also considers options such as Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho, Erik ten Hag and Ralf Rangnick.

Allegri has an impressive track record of leading Milan and Juventus for more than a decade. He helped Milan win domestic double in 2011 and then won consecutive Scudetto with Juventus. Along with the black and white striped shirt team, Allegri also has two Champions League finals in 2015 and 2017.

Capello also led Juventus and Milan. The 73-year-old strategist won four Serie A championships with Milan, once with Roma and twice with Juventus. Capello’s titles with Juventus were later stripped of the Calciopoli match-fixing scandal. But Capello and Allegri are still considered as two of the most successful coaches in the tournament’s history.

Viv Anderson: ‘Solskjaer’s mission is harder than Ferguson’

The former Man Utd player sees many similarities between incumbent coach Solskjaer and legendary Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.

“When I joined Man Utd, the team was in the transition period as of now. There are many similarities between the work of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now and Alex Ferguson before,” Viv Anderson said. “In the time of Ferguson, the brand of Man Utd was enough to attract the players, and the attraction of football is completely based on the Champions League at the moment. If not attending the Champions League, Man Utd is very difficult to attract players.”

Solskjaer has been the temporary manager of Manchester United since the end of December 2018, replacing Jose Mourinho. He started well, with a series of eight wins, while helping “Reds” overcome PSG in the 1/8 round of the Champions League. However, after signing the formal contract, Solskjaer’s miracle disappeared. Old Trafford Stadium played a decline and did not have a ticket to Champions League season 2019-2020.

Starting the new season with a 4-0 victory over Chelsea, but Man Utd failed to maintain his form. They fell in the middle of the scoreboard, and will host Arsenal in the late game round 7 of the Premier League on Monday night 30/9. If he cannot improve his performance on the pitch, the Norwegian coach is in danger of being fired.

“The old Ferguson and Solskjaer were different now. The current job is more scrutiny. However, I know Solskjaer had a great job. He was aware of that as soon as he got the job.” Anderson continued. “Solskjaer has spent a record sum on defender Harry Maguire, but he still needs more faces. To revive Man Utd, Solskjaer needs at least four or five new players.”

Viv Anderson, 63, was a former England defender. He was Alex Ferguson’s first signature at Man Utd, when he accepted to leave Arsenal in the summer of 1987. Anderson devoted four years to the “Red Devils”, and the Old Trafford owner won the 1990 FA Cup.

In January 2000, Anderson was awarded the MBE (Members of the British Empire) Medal, the lowest level of the year of the system of royal titles. Mr. Ferguson was twice awarded a medal, in 1985 and 1995. The highest level of the former Scottish coach was the CBE medal (British Empire Commander). Earlier, he was awarded the ODE (British Imperial Officer) Medal. Both are higher than MBE.

Solskjaer: ‘Man Utd is building the foundation’

Man Utd coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that young players are the foundation for the team revival.

“You learn a lot more when you use young players,” he told Sky Sport. “You want them to come on and express themselves, so you have a platform to rise. I think that has been successful against Astana. I know that young players sometimes feel pressure, but they are able to. “Of course, we have to protect them, of course we have to protect them, find the right time to bring them on the pitch. And you have to give them instructions behind the scenes as well.”

Adult players from the Man Utd academy, such as Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes or Tahith Chong, were all featured in a 1-0 win over Astana in the Europa League on September 21. Marcus Rashford also started, but Greenwood was the one who left the mark when scoring the only goal of the match. The 17-year-old striker became the youngest player to score for Man Utd in the European arena. Therefore, coach Solskjaer promises to continue to give opportunities to young players in the domestic arena.

“Young players are almost ready to play in the Premier League,” he said. “That’s why they trained with us, and they practiced very well. You will see young players often in the Europa League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, or some part of the Premier League. If we play well in the Europa League, we will have a chance to win the championship. In the early stages of the group stage, we can take some risks, and give opportunities to young players. it’s time for them to show their ability, to see if they are ready to play in the Premier League. “

The 46-year-old military leader also stressed that because of not using many young players, Man Utd lowered the target. “Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Axel Tuanzebe are young, we can develop many things. The foundation is being built from young players,” he said. “I want Man Utd to return to his position. Of course, the Premier League is different now, Man City and Liverpool last season played very well, and we are in the restart phase. Many players have gone and have. “We have a number of injured players, but it’s an opportunity for young players, and to see if I can make the best use of them.”
